OFFICE OF THE DIRECTOR OF SPORT. CHESS COMPETITION Reasons: 1. To discover new talents within delta state 2. To help bring the chess players together 3. To support skill building and growth of the player 4. To create a platform among players. Benefits: 1. They where given cashprizes to build and encourage them 2. It allowed us discover new and hidden talents 3. One of the players who won eventually took place in a national competition and took 4th place 4. It made other players go home and train better making them know that they are others better than them
